Colorbar bb cream

What:
colorbar perfect match beauty balm (bb) cream
How:
for combination/oily skin-apply on clean skin.
for dry skin-  apply over your moisturized skin.
Packaging-
What the back of the tube says-
The dispenser-

With the box-
Swatches-

Blended-
Review:
the product has its name right! Perfect match bb cream. This bb cream looks warmer when swatched but blends brilliantly to match your skin tone.  The texture of the BB cream is like an air whipped texture which looks like a mousse and blends effortlessly.
The coverage leans more towards the sheer side but that is good for daily usage. It wont cover up imperfections, but blur them to a certain degree giving a natural but polished look. You need to use a concealer for the undereye area with this,if you need to cover any dark cicrcles or blemishes.
it is suitable for oily and combination skin.  The BB cream gives a Soft glow to the skin without being oily. Dry skinned girls.. find something else or use a moisturiser underneath. Maybelline BB cream made me look like an oil pan and the stick gave me too matte a look. once applied ,it sets into a perfect shade without giving a white cast. It has SPF 20 if you need a higher SPF you can layer on a sunscreen under the BB cream
The BB cream lasts abt 5 -6 hours, with the T zone getting marginally shiny after abt 4 hours ,but it can be handled with some compact.  top the BB cream with compact before You leave for a long day and you're set for the whole day.
Steps to use :
As mentioned above beauties with dry skin will have to use a moisturizer underneath this bb cream. While the beauties with combination or oily skin can apply it directly to clean skin.

Things-to-remember-&-to- do-steps before applying any lip makeup.

——Products to be use for exfoliating your lips :

Body shop lip butter-

Coming to the lip products which can bring out  the beauty of your lips.

Lip pencil/lip liner-
•lip pencil / lip liner comes in a pencil form and is very similar to an eye liner. Some products can also double up as an eyeliner and lip liner.
• a lip pencil or a lip liner is used to colour the lip to prep it up for the lipstick.
•using a lip pencil or a lip liner beneath the lipstick will help the lip stick last longer.
•applying a lip liner will bring out the original colour of the lipstick.
Lipstick -
lipstick is applied directly on to the lips / on top of the lip liner.
•lipstick has to be chosen keeping in mind your skin tone and the duration as to how long you want to wear the lipstick.
Things to remember while buying a lipstick:
-desired colour
-pigmentation
-stay power
-finish (matte/satin/glossy)
-formula (hydrating/drying)
-if it applies evenly
-transferring / non-transferring
Always swatch the colour on your lips.

Lip gloss
• lip glosses are easier to carry off than a lipstick.
•they are light weight lip colours with a glossy finish.
•they come in a tube, some of which have an applicator and some of which dont.
•lip glosses are available in a variety of colours.
Things to remember while buying a lip gloss-
•desired colour

•they are a must have for daily use

All about the face

Heylo beauties.
Todays blog post is all about the visage.
We all want to achieve the flawless look when we step out of the house. Here i share with you a few cheat codes and how you could achieve the look and all the essential face products you must have!
Starting with skincare:
Moisturize :
•Moisturizing your skin right after the shower is an essential step to help maintain the moisture in your skin.
•your face  skin is 5 times thinner and sensitive than the skin on the rest of your body.
• use a moisturizer that is made for your skin type.
•if you are confused with your skin type and the products you should use consult your family doctor or an expert.
Exfoliate:
•exfoliate your skin twice a week or atleast one a week.
use an exfoliater that suits your skin.
exfoliation helps remove dead cells , black heads and white heads amd also cleanses the pores.
if you are too lazy to hunt for the right exfoliator just use white sugar granules with your moisturizer and toner.

Moving to makeup
—Primer
•Applying primer before your makeup will allow your foundation to glide on smoothly and blend easily. it wont rub off or smear. Primer gives your makeup something to hold onto, helping it last much longer .
•it abrorbs the excessive oil (for those with oily skin)
•Mostly all primers look white and blend invisible.
•Some primers come with SPF.
Listed below are some primers i have used and i am completely in love with.
-Revlon photoready colour correcting primer

-Mac's prep+ prime
-The new stay flawless 15 hour primer by benefit
-Benefits most famous POREfessional pimer
—Foundation
•Foundations even out your skin tone
•you can choose what type of coverage you need - sheer to light/ light to medium / medium to heavy /heavy coverage
•sheer coverage is great for those days when you are going to be out in the sun for a long time.
•light to medium /medium to heavy coverage are great for an everyday look
• heavy coverage is great for speacial ocassions (weddings, parties ,fashion shows , events etc)
•for those looking out for heavy coverage
Macs studio fix range is a must try.
•choose your foundation shade correctly
• swatch the colours on your jawline and NOT on your hand
•look out for oil free foundations
•opt for non pore clogging foundation.
The revlon colourstay range was much more than what i expected.
Revlon colourstay whipped foundation &
Revlon colourstay foundation are great for everyday use.
Revlon photoready foundation is a must have for all those who love slight shimmer and glow on their face and you could skip the illuminator if using the photoready foundation.

As i said earlier mac foundations are great for those wanting heavy coverage.
Tinted moisturizers / bb creams

•There are loads of brands ranging from drugstore buys to high-end make-up counters offering the magic of the tinted moisturiser.

•It’s a sheer version of foundation so you don’t need to match it to your skin exactly. You can even go slightly deeper to warm up your complexion.   It provides moisture, natural sheer coverage, evens out skin tone, and make sure to purchase one with SPF for that added protection.

•Tinted moisturizers work wonders when you just want a very sheer coverage and even looking skin. You could use face powder on top of a tinted moisturizer to get the flawless no makeup kind of look.

•Almost all makeup brands have tinted moisturizers. Personally i like nars ,mac and clinique.

•Choose your shade correctly.

•Choose the one with SPF for an additional protection.

Nars tinted moisturizer

Mac's tinted moisturizer
Cliniques tinted moisturizer :
Bb creams
Blemish balm creams or beauty benefit creams provide you with
•moisture
•even looking skin
•sun block (SPF)
•light weight
•hides imperfections
•healthy looking skin
•prevents premature aging
•oil control
• you could use bb creams everyday to school or college
great for picnics and travelling
Below are the bb creams i have tried and have been using since they are launched.
Cliniques age defense bb cream
Garnier daily all in one bb cream
Maybelline clear glow bb cream
(This is also available in a stick form )
Concelors:

A very important step for covering flaws. Everything from under eye circles, breakouts, acne scars, and it can even highlight and brighten your face. “The trick is not to use too much concealer,”  “That just accentuates problem areas”.  Many brands offer concealers specifically for covering up acne (with acne blasting ingredients) or heavier bases for more coverage. Find the one best for your skin type.

•concealor is a tone lighter to your skin tone can also be used as a highlighter on your eye areas and down the bridge of your nose.

•make sure you pat blend the concealor. Don not blend it like you blend your foundation.

•you could use a concelor brush or a pd blender to blend in out if you dont like using your fingers.

revlon photoready concealer and benefits boi-ing  is the best one i have used till now.

photoready is a super creamy concealor.

T•maybellines dream lumi touch brightening concelor is a great pic for those who want to highlight and conceal eye areas and exentuate their features.

Revlon photoready :

Maybelline dream lumi touch :

Illuminators/highlighters:
• Illuminators or highlighters are used to make yours features stand out and give a healthy glow to your face when the sun or the light hits your face.
•use it on your
•cheekbone
•down the bridge of your nose
•centre of your forehead
•jawline
•cupids bow ( the 'V' above your lip)
•inner tear duct ( to instantly brighten up your eye)
Ysl's touche éclat is my fav high end highlighter.
And benefits girl meets pearl is my recent fav  as i like just a little but shimmer.
mac's soft and gentle is most suitable for those who love more shimmer on their face.

Blush
•Before our time, women were pinching their cheeks to bring a natural flush to their cheeks.
•Now sans pain we have the options of creams, highlighters, powders, stains – you name it!
•Cream blushes in warm peaches or pinks “give skin a natural, subtle flush,” •stick to warmer tones, as cooler shades tend to make people look more made up. The idea is to look natural, natural, natural!
•Blush and bronzers are a great way to add colour to your face without looking made up.
•just smile and apply to the apples of your cheeks and blend it upwards.
•for indian skin tones benefits coralista & nars's orgasm are most recommended as it adds colour to your face and also looks  natural and subtle

Bronzer:
•The object is to embrace your natural skin tone and enhance it.
•It’s about providing a beach glow.
•Highlighting the areas of the face where the sun would hit with a natural shade of bronzer (no glitter or too much shimmer) will give you that super natural look.
•Stick with using very light strokes; first apply the bronzer to the top of the forehead, working down the nose and along the cheeks.
•Build up the color gradually, so you get exactly the shade you want.
• matte bronzers can also be used for conturing.
nars's laguna bronzer is my pick for adding colour to my face and light conturing.

benefits hoola is my pick for conturing.

Face powder
•face powder is often use to set the foundation in place and mattify the face. •For those with oily skin, following up with an oil-absorbing powder is the mostimportant  step.
• Mineral make-up provides light coverage, SPF protection, oil absorbing powers and it’s great for your skin!
•powders do absorb extra oil which helps your makeup stay matte for a longer duration and you could also stay away from hunting for a mirror to do your touch up.
revlon colourstay aqua mineral powder is a great pick as it provides a sheer glow and works wonders for any skin type.
•cliniques loose powder is a must have for those who want to achieve a matte look.
Revlon colourstay aqua:

Clinique loose powder:
Brow pencils and powders :
•Well defined eyebrows can exentuate your features even more.
•you could use brow pencil, brow powders or cream brow powders to fill in your brows to give them a proper shape and groom them well.
•brow pencils amd brow powders look more natural than cream brow powder.
•various brow kits come with a stencil as well.
•mac's brow kit comes with the brow powder and a highlight colour.
•you could also use a eyeshadow to fill inyour  brows with an angled brush.

I hope this post helped you. :)
Suggestions ,question and comments are all welcomed.

All about the eyes! ;;)

Hello beauties:D
Todays blogpost is going to be about my all time favourite and must have eye products.

Eyeliner
Colorbar penultimate eyeliner. I absolutely  adore this eyeliner. It is available in 3 colour
 -black
-blue
-green
This eyeliner is great for all those who are always on their toes and need quick drying formula with a very precise application.
Kajal(khol)
Faces longwear eye pencil.
-Smudge proof
-Waterproof
-Long lasting
-Doesn't irritate your eye
-Doesn't stick to contact lenses.
-Eye defining
-can be used on both lash lines
-available in 8 vibrant shades
What else would you need in your khol (kajal) pencil.?
A must have piece for all those who love defining their eyes.
Eyeshadow primers:
(For those who dont know what an eyeshadow primer is - it works as a base for the eyeshadow and prevents it from decreasing and also if ones eyelids are oily it helps control excess oil )
I have 2 favourites one from a drugstore and one from an high end brand.
The first one is the revlon eye primer + brightener

An eyeprimer is necessary if one is going to wear eye shawdow and wants it to last the whole day.
Revlons photoready eye primer and brightener is a 2 in 1 product for me as it works great as an eyeprimer and also a brightener / illuminator on my browbone and cheekbones.
My 2nd fav is the urban decay eyeshadow primer potion

This is great if one is going to wear heavy eyeshadow and wants to prevent itfrom creasing  and fading.

Eyeshadows:
When it comes to eyeshadows there is a huge variety to choose from. For an everyday neutral look urban decays naked palette has the right colours
The palette comes with 12 colours and an eyeshadow brush. Great for an everyday look and also to build up a smokey eye.
The second palette which is great for daily wear is caramel sundae eyeshadow quad from mac s Archie's collection
This eyeshadow quad has the right amount of shimmer and the perfect colours for an everyday look.

For more dark colours macs spoilt rich quad from the Archie's collection would work great.
This quad has the right amount of shimmer and matteness. It works great to create a smokey eye effect or any night time eye look.
Many other drugstore brands like revlon, maybelline etc have quads and eyeshadow palettes with great colour combinations for a desired look. Most of the drugstore quads also include a highlight shade.

I hope this post helps you
Next post will be all about the face!
Thanks for reading
Have a great day :)
xoxo
